Is living in the present equivalent to brahman realization?
From: Devdatt
Some of the modern Management gurus or philosophers advocate the theory of “Joy of being” or “Being Present”. They say that presence is God. The book ‘power of Now’and ‘The present’ are good examples of these theories. They quote Gita 18.54 also for the same. The book power of now was once quoted by famous preacher in ISKCON. I have two questions
1.If being present is so important then is it told in the Vedic literature?
2. If someone comes and quotes gita verses that advocates being present especailly symptoms of sthita pradnya then how to prove that being devotee is best or superior than being present.
3.Does being in present means realization of Brahamn?, if it is then it seems that these philosophers might be minimizing Brahman realization as they say that without doing any auterities you can be Brahaman realized.
