If God knows the future, doesn’t that make our destiny fixed?

If God knows future, isnt our destiny fixed? Or atleast from absolute level arent things happening in a fixed manner? Where does the role of soul’s independence fits in? I encounter this question many times but dont have any stisfactory explaination.
