Question: Some people say that the world is controlled by aliens. Is this true?

Answer: Actually, the world is controlled by the demigods and ultimately, by Krishna. So if you want to refer to them as aliens, then we can do that. But the modern conspiracy theorists, they refer to aliens to an entirely different kind. Generally, the human mind always gravitates towards the sensational or the trivial. So that way, it tries to deal with the boredom of humdrum existence that is our daily life.

The idea that there are aliens existing outside the earth is certainly acceptable in the Vedic scriptures. And there are multiple levels of aliens – there are higher beings, there are lower beings, some of them are favourable to us, some of them are unfavourable to us. But the idea that is talked about usually in the science fiction or something similar to the idea that aliens are controlling the earth is primarily the result of human speculation – that is not true.

The very existence of the aliens is definitely there and the idea that there are higher beings controlling the universe is also true. But conspiracy theories within which such ideas come are matters of human speculation. I will stick this answer to the ambit of the question of whether aliens are controlling the earth.
