Was there any editing of Prabhupada’s books?

Was/is there any effort in editing the purports of BG/SB provided by SP?

If yes, what should be our understanding when we hear purports of SP who is an acharya/JAGAD GURU was/is being edited and will it not make way for somebody to provide different interpretation to SP purports in future?
